The crafting techniques available truly amaze me, I had no idea you could make your own felt! What I like about these projects is that you don’t need a huge budget – creating can quickly become an expensive hobby.

There is a lot of freedom with these patterns, the materials you use is entirely up to you. The fun part is definitely hunting for second hand woolen goods, and transforming them into something new.

There is no knitting involved, but you will need a sewing machine. The photographs and big and clear, and the instructions are easy to follow.

The cupcake pin cushions (as featured on the cove) are adorable, and a sweet addition to your sewing kit. There is such a variety of projects in this book – with journal covers, hand puppets, a doggie coat and poncho, just to name a few.

There are 30 crafty pieces to make, and once you have finished these you will be confident to experiment with your own ideas.
