Application Techniques
- Choose the shade of True Concealer closest to your natural skintone, matching it to the middle of your cheek. For very red blemishes, go one shade deeper to help neutralize redness.
- If using a liquid foundation such as Reality Base, apply foundation first, and then layer concealer on top for added coverage where needed. Finish with a loose setting powder.
- If using a powder foundation such as Mineral Powder Foundation, apply concealer first and then set it in place with a loose setting powder. Finish by applying powder foundation to entire face, blending well.
- Concealer may be applied with a brush, sponge, or fingers – encourage the client to experiment with techniques to see what works best for her.
- Concealer is best applied in several thin layers, building coverage by gradually adding more.
- Setting concealer with a loose setting powder, such as Transparent Finish, will greatly extend its wear time.

Alison Raffaele True Concealer
Alison Raffaele cosmetics are to die for; I have used a few of her cosmetics in the past and absolutely adore them. Currently I’m hooked on her “True Concealer”.
I find it to be a fantastic product – which is exactly what I expected from Alison Raffaele. It blends easily and conceals any blemish or imperfection with ease.
Available in 7 different skin tone shades it will suit anyone. I go between a 2 and 3, at the moment it’s winter so I’m a 2 but as soon as the sun hits I’ll be up to a 3.
I find this concealer works so well I don’t need to use foundation, that saves a lot of time in the morning for me.
I dab it under my eyes and on any blemish I may have at the time, then I blend – it’s not rocket science, although some people spend ages going into great detail of how they apply and blah blah blah, it’s an easy to use tool that leaves a great clear appearance!
I will recommend this concealer to anyone!
