I have been a fan of Carole Matthews style of writing for a while now. This novel is a witty tale of four very different women, who find a shared interest in chocolate and become firm friends.

Most women have a soft spot for chocolate, and will drool over references to “chocolates filled with rich ganache” and “thick chocolate feuillantines – thin slivers of wafer flavoured with ginger, clove, nutmeg and cinnamon”

Not just another average chick lit book, the lives of the women are funny and sometimes disastrous. The main character of Lucy Lombard will keep you smiling; you will laugh at some of the scenarios she gets herself into.
