For months people have been asking “Do you have Myspace” or “Do you use Facebook”? And my answer was always no. While I had heard a lot about them I always felt like they were too time consuming.
I decided to give into peer pressure (slap!), and created an account with Facebook. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Interestingly, I became hooked. I started finding friends from all aspects of my life; high school, previous jobs and family members…even people I haven’t seen since primary school.
It seems it is becoming the easiest way to find and stay connected to old friends or make new ones, all over the world. Send messages and share photos, there are so many possibilities, and it’s all free. Until you sign up it is hard to understand just how big it really is.
While Facebook became quite addictive I decided there was no way I was signing up to MySpace. I really don’t need something else to distract me!
Contradicting myself , I decided to browse MySpace one night for new Australian bands, and found so many talented and inspiring people I just had to join. Instead of a personal account, we made one especially for Beauty and Lace, so we can network and talk about girly things like fashion and beauty with other women.

If you have MySpace we would love to hear from you: Beauty and Lace
