Become
a Cyberflirt Superstar!
Tempted to start flirting on line or deliberating over a reply
to email from someone you fancy? Here are 10 quicks tips that will
set you on the path to becoming a Cyberflirt Superstar.
1. Keep things simple
There is no need for a run down of your life story in the first
email or text. Keep it simple, short and sweet. Ask a question or
give a compliment about something you have seen in their online
profile. Include an interesting fact about yourself and add some
humour. Ask light questions in the beginning save the heavy stuff
for later. Remember to have fun!
2. Think about your responses before
you press send
With communicating on line and via text you don’t have the
benefit of reading peoples facial expressions and tone of voice.
Often this method of communication can be misinterpreted and taken
out of context. Read over your message and wait a while before sending
it so you don’t have any misunderstandings.
3. Don’t be over sexual with
someone you haven’t met in real life yet.
Communicating virtually doesn’t mean you have to be over
sexual. In fact it can be a big let down when you finally do meet.
Keep things playful, cheeky and flirty. Have fun, ask questions
but leave the heavy stuff for later on.
4. Be honest
Be yourself. Don’t hide behind a made up persona. Let the
real you shine through. It’s hard to keep up the lies long
term and you don’t want your fellow Cyberflirter to fall for
someone you are not. Think about how it would make you feel if you
were conversing with someone only to find out in real life that
they haven’t been honest.
5. Make them wait – but not
to long.
Have fun and tease a bit. Don’t respond to emails or text
immediately. Keep them waiting but not to long. Over a day or two
is rude unless you have notified them in advance.
6. End with a question.
If you want to keep the communication lines open end your message
with a question. This shows interest and if the question is intriguing
enough they’ll be eager to reply.
7. No drunken texts!
Try not to send texts or email when you have been drinking. Most
people have been guilty of the drunken text only to wake embarrassed
and regretted it in the morning.
8. Don’t be over familiar.
Don’t be over familiar in the beginning. Don’t use
loads of kisses to sign off or use love etc. Save these for when
you are more comfortable with each or have gotten to know each other
in real life. Being over familiar in the beginning can make you
seem really insincere. Refer back to point number 2!
9. Check your spelling and grammar.
Even thought you are communicating virtually first impressions
count. Check your spelling and grammar. Familise your self with
email equiette. No using CAPITALS for example as this is considered
shouting. Also don’t get bogged down with really long acronyms.
They may not know what you are talking about.
10. Have fun.
Just like in real life Cyberflirtling is all about having fun.
Don’t take your self too seriously and go with the flow to
see where it leads you. Enjoy yourself.
