It is understandable why this book has reached number one on so many bestseller lists.  An Absolute Scandal is so different to any other book I have read, and it is truly an emotional story.

This is a story about many different characters, and at first took some time to keep up with each of their stories, but their lives become intertwined and the book; impossible to put down.

Full of heartache, deceit and passion, An Absolute Scandal is at times dark and troubling. The story is so convincing it feels more like fact than fiction, and Penny Vincenzi does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life.

It is not often that you come across a novel that remains with you long after you have finished reading it, An Absolute Scandal is one book I will certainly remember.

With financial troubles that are almost too much to bear, they are tested and pushed to their limits. While some turn to their families for support, others feel there is no way out and cannot live with the burden, and the domino effect spirals everything out of control.

Beautifully written, touching and thought provoking, an Absolute Scandal is on my must read list.
